We wish to avail the opportunity that the existence of your website offers us to convey our
greetings and our reflection concerning the project that you head with so much enthisiasm
and love.

As you know my group of craftswomen involved in Beads of Hope in Cuba had been working,
since a couple of years ago, in different techniques of Cuban craftsmanship. Thanks to you,
we have incorporated, as a new element, the stringing of beads to our daily work as
craftswomen, which has undoubtedly has enriched the work which we have been carrying out
for years at a community level. Due to it's so particular nature, this experience has
stimulated us to replicate it at the Provincial and National levels, in view of giving a greater
participation to interested women.

Notwitstanding that truly the development and extension of this project in Cuba can not
have the same repurcussion on the condition of women as in other develoing countries,
where women do not have , as we do, free social services like education, universal health
care and social security, nevertheless it does constitute an alternative source of income to
help with the quality of life of our family.

This is why, we take the opportunity to express our appreciation for your interest in sharing
with us your wide knowledge and experience in the art of jewelry making, and likewise, to all
those donors who so unselfishly have contributed to make your project a reality.

We will be most gratefull if you socialize, through yur website, this message of
acknowledgement to your dream, which we relate to Gandhi's words when he expressed, "Be
the change you wish to see in the world".
